Stencil art

I create abstract art by combining stencil designs with art informed by the Letterism art movement of the 1940s and 1950s. Letterism involves letters, numbers and symbols being added to art, not to create any particular message, but rather as a visual aid or object of the art itself. I was particularly inspired by the work of Francois Dufrene (as seen in MAMAC Gallery, Nice) and most recently by contemporary stencil artists such as Judy Woods, Lydia Rink and Jill Haas. My paintings have been created using stencils and acrylic paint on canvas boards.
